Chantel- Quarantine life

June 9th, We've arrived in LAX around 7pm-ish. We are ready to head back to Taiwan. It's a pretty long flight to go home, about 13 hours fly.

Chantel and I arrived in the airport kind of early, due to my friend can only come to the airport to help me at that time, therefore I need to be there then. Actually my flight was 1:30am, but we were waiting in the airport for almost 6 hours. but we had a good time chatting with people. Many people saw Chantel and I was sitting on the floor in the airport, and came talk to us.

I was worried about if Chantel will get neverous around so many people, but I was wrong. She was doing absoultely alright with so many people walking by. She was really claim looking at people walking with many huge luggages.

After 13 hours flight, We finally arrived in Taiwan. This is Chantel's first experience to fly, and her first time to leave the country to a differnt country that she's going to spend rest of her life there.

As many people worrying of sending dogs to Taiwan or Asia countries, they worried about how the dogs will be treated there. Well, I can't guarantee that all the dogs come to Taiwan will have a good life or will be treated well. As I understand, every single countries in the earth have good people and bad people. Even in the United States, there are some people treating dogs badly, and there are some people treating their dogs as their own kids.

I won't say that I am treating my dogs as "Perfect", but I do my best to give them the best of I can give to them as every single one are my love. This blog is to record the life of my dogs and me, to present the very real life in my house. I don't create it better than the reality because I don't want to lie.

Taiwan is a Rabies-free country, therefore, Dogs or Cats from any Rabies countries will need to stay in the Quarantine for 21 days. Of course, Chantel is not excepted. As the pictures shown on this article, Chantel is doing great in the quarantine office. Three years ago, I can visit Koby and Cedar in the quarantine everyday, but now, I can only visit her 3 times a week by law. So, I called the quarantine officers and the vets for her condition in the quarantine, and ask if they can send me some pictures.

When I was making the phone call, I heard the sound on the background " Chantel! Chantel!". The vet said " Chantel is doing great here, we keep her in the office most of the time because she loves to play and she's friendly, I hope you don't mind".
Of course not, I said. I love to hear they were playing with her during these 21 days, so Chantel wont feel lonely to be in the quarantine.

It will be one more week left on next Tuesday. We can't wait to "rescue" Chantel out of the quarantine. Actually, quarantine isn't that bad as we thought. There are three quarantines in Taiwan. I've visited two of them. The one Koby and Cedar stayed was about 10 minutes drive from my house, but it's a big quarantine with many dogs. therefore, I dont apply for this quarantine for Chantel. The quarantine Chantel staying is about 2 hours drive from my house, but this quarantine have better condition and less dogs. Also, the vets in this quarantine are more friendly, that's what I liked about.

I kept many toys with Chantel, and I hope she will like all of those toys. Last visit, Chantel was so excited to see me, so she jumped on me while I was sitting on a small chair. She was too exciting to stop, and trying to get on my lap. After a few tries, she got on me, and we both broke the chair and fell on the floor. well.... I forgot to tell the officers that I broke the chair, and I don't no one sit on it after me.... haha.

The officers took about 30 pictures of Chantel relaxing in the office, so just post a few of them up here to share.

I can't wait to have Chantel to meet my
pack.
